What to expect before your wedding
My work starts long before your wedding day. Here's what the months in between look like.
RIGHT AFTER BOOKING
I’ll set up our WhatsApp group
This is where you can ask me any quick questions, share something exciting you saw on Pinterest or just say hi. You can also ping me on email.
3–6 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING
We’ll have our creative direction call
We’ll start with the visual references you're drawn to and why. This sets the tone for the type of imagery we’ll create on your day and means we can build space for it into your timeline.
We'll also talk about what you like and don't like about being photographed, so I can guide you through your portraits in a way you'll both feel at ease with.
1 MONTH BEFORE YOUR WEDDING
We’ll have our final run-through call
By then your plans are mostly settled. We'll check your timeline still works for what we planned, go through your family photo list, and catch anything that's changed since we last spoke. After that, the only thing left to do is get you married.
THROUGHOUT
I'll be laying the groundwork
Behind the scenes I'll be coordinating with your planner, if you have one, and building mood boards from your visual references. I'll also scout out the best locations for key photography moments, in person where I can and online where I can't.
All of this happens before I've taken a single photograph.
“With all of this groundwork, she was able to take photos that truly captured the essence of our day.”
